Dr. Stuber is Professor and Associate Chair, Medical Student Education, of Psychiatry and Biobehavioral Sciences at UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine. She is a pioneer in the area of posttraumatic stress and serious pediatric illness, working clinically and in research with pediatric organ transplantation at UCLA since 1984. She has served as a pediatric trauma and educational expert for the National Child Traumatic Stress Network for the past 18 years, developing training programs for clinicians working with traumatized children and families. She has worked in medical student education since she joined the faculty in 1987, focused on systems of care, interprofessional education, and health behavior. Since 2018 she has been the Program Director for the UCLA\VA Greater Los Angeles Psychiatry Residency.Dr. Stuber is currently a member of the Faculty Executive Committees for the School of Medicine and for the School of Dentistry. She directs the required, longitudinal Systems Based Healthcare interprofessional course for third year medical students, third year dental students and second year advanced practice nursing students. She works clinically in an interprofessional integrated care clinic for homeless veterans. She has published 87 peer-reviewed research papers in professional journals, 15 review papers, and 50 chapters. She has edited five books.
