Tara Peris, PhD

Dr. Peris is an Associate Professor of Psychiatry and Biobehavioral Sciences at the Jane and Terry Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior. She is co-Director of the UCLA Child OCD, Anxiety, and Tic Disorders Program and the Program Director ofthe ABC Children’s Partial Hospitalization Program. Her research and clinical interests are in developmental psychopathology, with a particular focus on evidence-based treatments for child and adolescent anxiety and related disorders. She has a particularinterest in developing strategies for optimizing treatment outcome for difficult-to-treat cases of anxiety, OCD, and related conditions. Dr. Peris is the recipient of awards from NARSAD, the International Obsessive Compulsive Disorder Foundation, The TLC Foundation, and the National Institute of Mental Health. She is the recipient of the APA Abidin Early Career Award for Child and Adolescent Clinical Psychology.
