Demontea “Tae” Thompson, a native of Compton, is the Executive Director of Together We Inspire, a Los Angeles nonprofit focused on enhancing educational and career outcomes for foster youth. Currently pursuing a Ph.D. at UCLA’s School of Education, he explores strategies for empowering youth of color, particularly those involved in the child welfare and justice systems. Demontea, a published author and accomplished slam poet, is recognized for his TEDx Talk and appearances on the Kelly Clarkson Show, where he advocates for translating research into practical solutions. He holds a master’s degree from USC and a bachelor’s from CSUN.
