Emily is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and serves as the Division Director of SSG Project 180, a prominent health and human services organization based in Los Angeles. In this capacity, she oversees a diverse portfolio of over 10 alternative-to-incarceration programs tailored for justice-involved individuals with behavioral health needs. Under her leadership, Emily has significantly expanded Project 180, increasing its staff from 50 to 300 members and growing annual revenue six-fold. Emily earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from UC Santa Cruz, as well as dual master’s degrees in social work and international affairs from Columbia University. Her career is grounded in a deep commitment to social justice, with extensive experience in the nonprofit and public sectors both domestically and internationally, encompassing behavioral health and community development.
