Gabriel Lopez is the Director of Operations at an international home goods importer where he focuses on achieving Operational goals while attempting to incorporate a commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI). An immigrant raised by his mother and maternal grandmother, Gabriel found a way to overcome challenges and graduated from Texas A&M University with a BA in Business Management. During his tenure, he led the transition to an ERP system-SAP, delivering consistent cost reductions despite challenges in 2021-2022. His leadership style is to nurture a workplace environment where diverse groups are allowed to have a level of autonomy. Under his management, retention rates are under 5%, which is a reflection of diverse and inclusive practices. His journey was/is shaped by resilience in overcoming personal challenges as an immigrant, supported by family, and marked by strengths in critical thinking and adaptability. With aspirations to lead established entities or forge his own entrepreneurial path, he remains committed to evolving and achieving meaningful impact through continuous improvement and inclusive leadership, both professionally and in my personal life.
