- EMPWR Program for LGBTQ mental health
The EMPWR (“empower”) Program is a comprehensive mental health program within the Department of Psychiatry that provides affirmative care to LGBTQ patients, with a specific focus on trauma, resilience, and wellbeing. EMPWR also offers clinical training rotations for psychiatry and psychology trainees. - Gender Health Program
The UCLA Gender Health Program provides personalized, sensitive primary and gender affirmative care for children, adolescents, and adults who are transgender or gender-diverse.

Education & Networking Opportunities
- Equity and Diversity Inclusion at DGSOM – LGBTQ-Centered Educational Events
This initiative includes the UCLA Health LGBTQ Pride Network, a group for all employees, trainees, and faculty to help coordinate and organize LGBTQ activities throughout the system. - Pride Alliance at DGSOM/CDU
Pride Alliance’s vision is to build and sustain a strong community at the David Geffen School of Medicine, Fielding School of Public Health, School of Dentistry, and School of Nursing at UCLA that supports LGBTQ+ individuals and can meet the health needs of LGBTQ+ patients with compassionate and competent care.
- UCLA Health LGBTQ Health Initiative
The health system-wide program aims to deliver compassionate, inclusive, and equitable care to support diverse LGBTQ communities. The Initiative includes educational and networking events, as well as the Equitable Care Committee, which guides UCLA Health policies and practices.
