Lucero Noyola

Lucero Noyola (she/her) spent time in California’s foster care and juvenile justice system. She earned her MSW from the USC School of Social Work in 2019 and now works as a Program Officer for the Carrie Estelle Doheny Foundation. In her role at the foundation, she oversees the relationship with various organizations and has stewarded over $3.3M into the local community. In addition to her position at the foundation, Lucero uses her lived expertise, education, and professional experience to consult on youth development programs, research, and advocacy projects. From 2019 – 2022 she served as a Fellow for the Youth Transition Funders Group, where she advised foundations across the nation on their youth funding strategies. In 2021, she was 1 of 6 architects that ideated the creation of the Los Angeles County Youth Commission. The commission now exists to help child welfare and juvenile justice systems center youth voice in their efforts to co-design and improve policies, programs, and services. Lucero is a proud single mother who loves cats, travel, and crafting.
